My first programming conference

Last day of Europython (https://ep2015.europython.eu/en/), the European python conference, held in Bilbao! First of all, it was great to see clouds and to experience rain on my skin after months and months of burning sun in Madrid! Bilbao is an amazing city, I really liked it! :)

The conference was great! I met so many interesting people and listened to inspiring talks! I got in touch with Djangogirls (https://djangogirls.org/) and Pyladies (http://www.pyladies.com/), two projects that aim at enlarging the women presence in computer sciences and programming. I'll definitely try to connect to the local groups of Barcelona and Madrid.

I've been thinking on the OpenSource model and the collaborative coding, and how this may apply to research. It's a great way of sharing ideas and purposes, and also allows people who's learning (e.g. PhD students) to get a specific feedback and learn from the others. For this reason, I'll definitely try to apply all the things i'm learning to any new research project i'm involved in.
